- (Gk., wisdom about man) The Christian and occultist movement associated with Rudolph Steiner (1861–1925) stressing the cultivation of spiritual nature and the way to gain spiritual awareness of a higher world. Steiner founded a large number of schools where methods of liberal education are practised.
